9. Third party services
The Company shall not be responsible for performance or service problems caused by any third party website or third party service provider (including, for example, your web service provider service, payment services, your software and/or any updates or upgrades to that software). Any such problem shall be governed solely by the agreement between you and that provider.
Please check your software requirements and test your connection before you attend a live webinar. Where a moderator is available, they will endeavour to assist with suggestions, their main priority at that time will be to keep the group event on track.
10. Event booking
Training events involve planning, deposits and other commitments for instructors, venues and equipment. Therefore, for your place to be confirmed, payment is due in full at time of booking.
Details about our seminars, workshops and webinars are provided by the Company on the relevant event page. Please make sure to read them and ask for any clarification, to help make sure you are booking the right event for you and your dog.
Unless final event details (venue etc) have not been provided on the booking page, you generally won't be sent correspondence beyond your payment confirmation. You won’t need a ticket to attend a live event, but can bring a printout of your order or payment confirmation if you don't expect to have it accessible in your Email account on your smartphone. For webinars bookings, you should receive your join link around the same time as you receive your payment confirmation, if you haven't and it is not in your Spam folder either please contact us immediately.
The place you booked is yours only and anyone else joining you will need to have booked their own. Should you want somebody to attend the event in your place however, you can offer them your place as long as you inform us, with their consent, of their name and contact details (Email address and phone number – mobile if possible). We don’t send another set of confirmations to the new attendee, so please make sure to have passed on all relevant information.
If you are looking to transfer a place obtained through an application and selection process, the Company will need to be be involved in the transfer. In some cases where a waiting list exists we may already have somebody lined up, but in any case, the new attendee will also need to be approved by us.
11. Refunds
If you can no longer attend an event or programme you can transfer your place (see above) or request a refund. While the responsibility of arranging a transfer ultimately lies with you, we advise that you consult with us as soon as you realise that you cannot attend. When an event is sold out, we may have a waiting list or be able to spread the word to help you find a suitable replacement.
In case you request a refund, the following applies:
75% of fees paid – six or more months prior to the event,
50% of fees paid – between six and three months prior,
No refund less than three months prior to the event.
Please allow two weeks processing time from the time a refund was confirmed.
Purchases of online programmes are final and non-refundable unless otherwise specified in the offer.
Bookings for webinars are non-refundable. If you cannot attend the event live, in most cases a recording will be available for you to catch up with. To learn more about how our webinars run, read about our webinars on the Webinars page before you book.
Purchases of webinar replays are non-refundable. You can read about our webinar replays on the Catch-up page.
12. Event cancellation
On the rare occasion that instruction cannot take place as planned for reasons like speaker’s illness, unsuitable weather (note that most events take place in any weather) or other reasons beyond the Company's control, you will be informed as soon as possible, via the contact details submitted with your order. The event will be re-scheduled, respectively the programme extended, otherwise the fees paid by you will be credited to you as a voucher towards another event. You can alternatively request a refund of this credit, minus a processing fee.
Note that any non-refundable third party fees already incurred, such as payment processing fees, deposits paid to venues etc, may also be deducted.
Please note that the Company cannot accept liability beyond the actual training, e.g. for your travel fares or accommodation.
13. Content
When you sign up for an online programme, you are usually given access to relevant learning materials online. For some programmes, you also receive instructor-led coaching and live support, as outlined to you at the start of your programme. The duration of your access to course materials will be programme-specific.
Access to webinar replays purchased on the Catch-up page is for the life time of the product.
The Company carefully selects their guest instructors to offer you an interesting and varied events schedule, however we cannot be held liable for opinions they express in the content they provide. Information to promote an hosted event is being provided by the speaker, hence any feedback about event content should be directed towards them.
14. Photos and video
The Company may use training photos or videos for social media, advertising or instructional use. If you do not wish to appear in them, please let the photographer or other person in charge know at the beginning of the event. You are not expected to give a reason.
You are welcome to further share photos or videos already shared on social media by the Company, provided that any watermarks remain included. Should anything not be watermarked, please add: ‘Photo credit: On Target K9‘ (including website link).
The Company can in some cases provide photos that are not watermarked, please contact us to discuss. Any potential use of our photos and videos for the purposes of promoting your business must be agreed in writing.
Please refrain from taking photos, videos or any other recordings without prior agreement. Some speakers restrict the use of event footage, and/or other attendees may not want to appear in it.
15. Practicalities on the day for live events
Should you arrive early, in most cases doors open 15 minutes before start time. We recognise that some of our attendees travel from further away and where toilet facilities are available we will aim to make them accessible earlier.
Should you be running late and it is safe to do so, please send a short message to let us know.
Make sure to dress appropriately for the event and have the necessary equipment as well as food and drink.
16. Workshops with dogs
All dogs attending should be fully protected by vaccination (boosters at the required intervals or titre testing).
Do not bring a sick dog to a workshop. You can still benefit from attending without a dog. Please note that the Company cannot refund or reduce your handler fee but you may be able to transfer your handler place to somebody else (see above) and buy a spectator place instead.
Many search dog events don't have to exclude dogs that cannot or should not work around other dogs (including bitches in season), but please read the event details and contact us to discuss before you book.
During a workshop, keep your dog close, under control and on a lead unless otherwise instructed for an exercise. Don’t allow your dog to approach other dogs or people in or outside the training area, and do not approach other dogs yourself without prior agreement by their handler. The instructor working on behalf of the Company has the right to remove a dog and handler from the event if they feel a situation is not managed adequately, therefore putting other participants at risk.
Handlers are responsible for their dog’s welfare during a workshop, making sure their dog is comfortable to work in any weather. Discuss with the instructor if you feel that an exercise is unsuitable for your dog or would like to give your dog a break from participating in an activity.
Should your dog relieve themselves before or during class, anywhere in or outside the training area, please clean up and take the waste to the nearest bin.
17. Disclaimer
The Company cannot accept responsibility of any injury, loss or damage to person, dog or property that occurs whilst attending an event.
18. Revisions
These Terms and Conditions may be revised from time to time by updating this posting. You are bound by any such revisions and should therefore periodically visit this page to review the current terms to which you are bound.
